Mater of Science in Pharmacy
Master of Science in Pharmacy requires BS pharmacy graduates (with grade average of 2.5 USC grading system or higher) for admission into the program. The course requirement is divided into required and elective courses (cognates). The required courses cover four professional core subjects (12 units), two major subjects (6 units) and four basic subjects (12 units). The cognates may be taken from any of the pharmacy elective subjects.
This program aims to:
1. enhance the professional competence of graduate students rendering pharmaceutical services in the fields of industry, education and government by providing them with a deeper understanding of he fundamental principles of Pharmacy practice and a knowledge of the current advances in the field;
2. provide the students with the theoretical and experimental tools needed to enable them to design, conduct, utilize relevant researches as well as critically evaluate results; and
3. develop a globally-competitive pharmacist that can effectively translate knowledge into skills to meet the needs in the Pharmacy labor market.
